Joe McDaniel Photography

My interest in photography began while living for 25 years in Southern Africa. I turned to a wider variety of subject matter but still visit Africa regularly.  As a biologist I am drawn to simple images in nature and enjoy wildflower, scenic and macro photography.  I made the transition to digital in 2001 and prefer to print my images on canvas, without the confinement of the traditional frame, mat and glass.  I enjoy photographing panoramas, both horizontal and vertical. Most of the images on this website are for sale.  For information go to Contact Joe and send me a message.

Activities and Interests

I am an active member of the Parker Artists Guild (Parker, Colorado) and am the Director of Communications for the American Salers Association, handling PR, managing the ASA Website ( and assisting with ASA Magazine production and photography.   ASA is the Registry and coordinator of the Salers breed of cattle in the United States.

As a writer my stories and blogs are regularly published in local Colorado newspapers. I have produced and presented slide shows on travel and wildlife, and workshops on digital photography (”Pixels 101″) and “How to Create Customized Books,” for interested clubs or non-profit organizations in the Parker, Colorado area.
